MARCELO, assassinated in 1980, Marcelo Quiroga Santa Cruz was the most lucid socialist leader of his generation. From his parliamentary struggles, the nationalization of Gulf, the creation of his party, his exile, to his trial of responsibilities against the Banzer dictatorship. He was also a great novelist and intellectual.
