How many generations in a family can bear the marks of a war? A young Argentinian man enquires into his family’s inheritance. His grandfather was a former Francoist soldier during the Spanish Civil War. His father kept silence. The director decides to trace his way back into the past, travels to Spain and ties up loose ends; meeting other relatives, wondering, in search of complex honesty in this scripture on post-memory.
