Umaturka, la llamada del agua

 Every year in the arid Bolivian highlands, the inhabitants of the town of Quillacas celebrate the tradition of the Umaturka to call for clouds and rain. Ancient rituals are celebrated to maintain the delicate balance between life and environment, in a metaphor for human survival where life depends on water.
